General Data Protection Regulation
Cureo® takes your personal data protection seriously. We consistently maintain high levels of data protection and security. We also meet or exceed regulatory obligations when it comes to user data, no matter where our users are based. Starting May 25th, 2018 the European Union will put in force GDPR, a new regulation on personal data for citizens of the EU.
What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union regulation that covers how personal data is collected, handled, processed, and stored for EU citizens. You may view more information on the regulation here.
Will Cureo be compliant with GDPR?
Yes. While Cureo is an American based company, we have customers in many parts of the world including the EU. This means we have been (and will continue to) put policies, procedures, and make necessary application upgrades to comply with GDPR on an ongoing basis.
How is Cureo preparing?
Cureo is joining Privacy Shield, which is a program by the U.S. Department of Commerce in partnership with the European Commission. The partnership ensures that U.S. companies, like Cureo, can comply with European law and regulations. You can learn more about this program here. We are also in the process of updating and clarifying our privacy policy to comply with notice requirements and to ensure that Cureo continues to have an open and transparent relationship with our users.
